Skills
Turning something an Agent does well into a procedure it can repeat.
A Skill is a procedure written down: how your team does a particular thing, packaged so an Agent can follow it. A Skill teaches a method. It doesn’t grant access to anything, and it doesn’t carry passwords.
How agents use them
An Agent sees the name and description of every Skill available to it, and reads the whole thing only when it’s relevant. A large Library doesn’t crowd out the conversation.
Making one
Ask an Agent to write down how something gets done and it can save that as a Skill for the Space. Saving publishes a new version straight away and keeps the previous ones, so you can go back to an earlier one. If you were drafting that Skill yourself, your draft stays yours.
You can also point an Agent at the open skills.sh ecosystem when what you need probably exists already. It reads the source and the contents of the package before installing anything, unless you’ve told it to go ahead.
