Threads
Conversations that keep everything, when to start a second one, and what lands in your Inbox.
A Thread is one conversation with one Agent, and Runva keeps all of it. Most of the time you want to stay in the Thread you’re already in, because the Agent has the context there.
Picking up where you left off
An Agent can search its own Threads and reread them, including the parts that have scrolled out of what it’s currently holding in mind. It can only see its own. Two Agents in the same Space don’t share history, so if you want one to know what another knows, tell it or hand the work over deliberately.
Starting a second thread
Some work needs its own room. Start a Thread from any message and you get a sibling conversation with the same Agent and its own context. It isn’t a copy of the Computer, and it isn’t a private transcript.
Each message can start one sibling. Going back to the same message opens the Thread you already made rather than a second one.
An Agent can also hand a self-contained piece of work to a helper that runs out of sight and brings its result back. That result appears in your Thread attributed to the helper, rather than as another conversation you’d have to go and find.
The Inbox
The Inbox is where anything waiting on a person shows up.
An item that needs doing names one person at a time. Other people can be kept aware of it without becoming responsible for it, and being aware of an approval doesn’t let anyone answer it on your behalf. If nobody has been named yet, anyone eligible can claim it, and whoever holds it can hand it to someone else.
A Run that failed is different. Nobody owns it and nobody has to answer it. It tells you what went wrong and what you can do about it.
